PHOTOS: Buhari abandons lunch with world leaders for Jumat prayers, sparks controversy

Nigeria’s new president, Muhammadu Buhari, on Friday excused himself from the inauguration luncheon organized for world leaders who came to
grace his swearing-in ceremony.

Mr. Buhari briefly received the guests at the Aso Rock Villa, and quickly left them in the hands of his Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo pending when he gets back from the mosque.

The president reportedly didn’t come back until the end of the ceremony.

Nigerians have taken to social media to criticize Buhari’s action.
