Boko Haram Murderers Executed by Firing Squad

In an exercise in speedy justice, ten members of Boko Haram were introduced to their 72 virgins by a firing squad in Chad
today. The 10 were executed at a military firing range in the city of Massaguet, just one day following their conviction and sentencing on terrorism charges that stemmed from attacks on civilians earlier this summer that resulted in the deaths of dozens of Christian villagers.

“They were shot this morning at the Massaguet firing range,” said one of the sources, referring to a city about 60 km (40 miles) northeast of the capital N’Djamena.

Among the ten men executed was Mahamat Moustapha, a 30-year-old Cameroonian who was also accused of masterminding a series of attacks on N’Djamena where more than 40 people were killed in by Boko Haram in June and July

After those attacks, Chadian President Idriss Deby introduced a series of tough new anti-terror laws. The nation of Chad has stepped up and is taking the lead in a regional security force of over 8,700-men made up of military members from Chad, Nigeria, Niger, Sudan and Cameroon. The task force has be very successful in combating the ISIS affiliated terrorist group claiming several victories and a large body count in many recent confrontations with Boko Haram. President Deby says the jihadist insurgent movement could be destroyed by year end.
