APC fighting lost battle —Bayelsa PDP

Yenagoa—The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Bayelsa State, has said that all those who caused the violence which led to wanton loss of lives and destruction of property during the cancelled election in Southern Ijaw Local Government Area and other
parts of the state will have to  allow due process take its course as those found wanting would face the full weight of the law.

The party also described as laughable,  alleged assault on the Chairman of Southern Ijaw council, Chief Remember Ogbe, by Governor Seriake Dickson.

It said that the All Progressives Congress, APC was fighting a lost battle because the governorship election had been won and lost, adding that its candidate, Dickson, had already won the election in critical evolution of the race.

Director of Publicity of the Restoration Campaign Organisation, Jonathan Obuebite said, there were attempts by the  APC, to whip up sentiments over efforts by the state government to ensure that justice takes its course because all those who were arrested over disturbances which marred the governorship election of December 5 and 6 were APC members.
